Somatic & Integrative Therapy
Book A SessionMy Approach
As an integrative therapist, I treat every client as a unique individual and use a customized combination of therapeutic approaches to address their concerns.
I don't believe in labelling people based on their psychological health or in treating them with a static psychological model.
My techniques include:
- Trauma-informed therapy
- Psychosomatic therapy
- Psychodynamic therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS, Dr. Richard Schwartz) aware
- Compassionate Inquiry (CI, Dr. Gabor Maté)
My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each person's journey.
After working as a psychotherapist for a long time and having treated severely traumatized patients, I have become a strong believer in the strength and resilience of human beings and their ability to evolve and grow from adversity.
The word "trauma" is Greek for "wound" and psychological wounds require just as much attention, if not more, as physical injuries.
Research proves that trauma has physical manifestations in our bodies such as aggravating existing medical conditions and creating muscle pains or digestive problems.
My work is unique because it goes beyond traditional talk therapies to address the somatic (physical) manifestations of psychological trauma.
Self Discovery
Almost all of my clients are traumatized to varying degrees which disconnects them from the "Self".
Although they may be aware of their emotional state on a cognitive level, they struggle to feel their emotions, regulate their thoughts or notice the impact of their emotions on their body.
My job is not to "fix" my clients but to help them see that they're either living in their painful past or with an anxiety related to the future.
My approach focuses on the mind and body simultaneously to create wholeness and healing.
I help my clients find safety within themselves, resolve their past and find their path to a fulfilling life.

Therapy Sessions
FAQs
What should I expect in the first session?
Each initial session is personalized to you, as every client brings their own unique experiences, history, and perspective. Together, we'll explore the reasons that brought you to therapy, clarify your goals, and work to uncover the underlying causes of your challenges.
What languages do you speak?
I offer sessions in English, Urdu, Hindi and Farsi (Persian).
Do you prescribe medications?
I am not a psychiatrist and do not prescribe medication. While medication can be helpful in certain situations, I believe it should be considered only as a last resort. My approach focuses on addressing the root causes of mental health challenges without creating long-term reliance on medication.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes, I offer discounts for first sessions, subscriptions and multiple session bookings. For details on the latest discounts, please visit my discounts page.
How long are your sessions?
I offer individual therapy sessions in both 60-minute and 90-minute durations. Couples therapy sessions are 90 minutes long.
How many sessions do I need to take?
There is no set timeline for healing. Therapy does not offer quick fixes or provide a simple solution to your problems. Instead, it helps you uncover the root causes of your challenges and emotions through self-discovery. Each person has unique experiences and patterns, which heal and evolve in their own way.
By addressing the underlying causes of your difficulties, therapy helps you navigate current issues and better manage future challenges, supporting long-term growth and a more fulfilling life.
If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I recommend trying a single session to see if it feels helpful.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
I only offer online sessions.
Is confidentiality guaranteed?
Confidentiality is essential to our work together, and everything shared in sessions remains private, except in exceptional circumstances, such as when there is a serious intent to harm yourself or others (e.g., plans for suicide or violence). In some cases, I may seek supervision or consultation with other professionals, but your identity and personal details will never be shared.
